Senior Software Engineer (Cloud & Integration)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain mission-critical software solutions within the aviation technology domain.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying reliable, secure and high-performance applications using modern software engineering practices and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and secure software applications.
  • Lead technical development activities and mentor junior engineers.
  • Develop and integrate microservices, RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
  • Implement cloud-native applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and Terraform.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration and system testing.
  • Apply software security, safety and quality best practices.
  • Perform system deployment, integration, troubleshooting and production support.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience, preferably in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, Go, Rust or TypeScript.
  • Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs and messaging middleware (e.g. Solace).
  • Good knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and Git.
  • Familiarity with automated testing, TDD and software security practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of API Gateways and event-streaming architectures (Lambda/Kappa).
  • Familiarity with React or other frontend technologies.
  • Experience with high-availability, high-performance or real-time systems.
