Senior Software Engineer (Cloud & Integration)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain mission-critical software solutions within the aviation technology domain.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying reliable, secure and high-performance applications using modern software engineering practices and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and secure software applications.
Lead technical development activities and mentor junior engineers.
Develop and integrate microservices, RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
Implement cloud-native applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and Terraform.
Develop and execute unit, integration and system testing.
Apply software security, safety and quality best practices.
Perform system deployment, integration, troubleshooting and production support.
Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.
Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience, preferably in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, Go, Rust or TypeScript.
Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs and messaging middleware (e.g. Solace).
Good knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and Git.
Familiarity with automated testing, TDD and software security practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of API Gateways and event-streaming architectures (Lambda/Kappa).
Familiarity with React or other frontend technologies.
Experience with high-availability, high-performance or real-time systems.
