Senior Azure Cloud Specialist

  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Hybrid)
  • Location: Outram Park
  • Remuneration: Up to $11,000 + AWS

 

About the Role

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Specialist to design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, automation, container platforms, and operational excellence, while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical cloud services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure to support business applications and operational requirements.
  • Administer Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Load Balancers, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor cloud environments and proactively investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues.
  • Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and compliance controls.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
  • Develop automation scripts and operational workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and related tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent DevOps platforms.
  • Perform infrastructure maintenance activities, including upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of cloud migration projects from on-premises environments to Azure.
  • Configure and support monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Work closely with application, security, network, and project teams to deliver cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.

 

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience with AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience in cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and production support.
  • Experience supporting or leading cloud migration projects and designing Azure cloud solutions.
  • Relevant Azure certifications are an advantage.
