Job Description

Cloud Security Engineer (AWS / Security Hub)

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen and maintain the security posture of our cloud environment. You will be responsible for implementing cloud security controls, monitoring security findings, and driving remediation efforts across AWS platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud security, automation, and security best practices. AWS Security Hub is commonly used as a centralized platform for aggregating and managing security findings across AWS services.

  • Salary Package: Up to $8500 (basic) + AWS+ VB

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS environments
  • Configure and manage AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config, CloudTrail, and related security services
  • Monitor, investigate, and triage security alerts and findings
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with infrastructure and application teams
  • Implement IAM best practices, least-privilege access controls, and security governance policies
  • Support cloud security reviews, risk assessments, and compliance audits
  • Automate security monitoring, reporting, and remediation workflows
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
  • Develop and maintain cloud security standards, procedures, and documentation

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure Security
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security services, particularly AWS Security Hub
  • Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, GuardDuty, AWS Config, CloudTrail, KMS, and WAF
  • Experience in vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, or similar
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD security practices is an advantage
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent are preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Scripting or automation experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with SIEM, CSPM, or cloud-native security tooling
  • Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
