Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on senior software engineer to join a high-impact government project with the ministry. This role requires a strong engineering mindset with solid architectural awareness, working closely with Solution Architects while actively contributing to end-to-end development.

You will be part of a collaborative team environment, building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that support national-level digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications across frontend and backend systems
  • Translate solution architecture into high-quality, maintainable code
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure alignment with system design and best practices
  • Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop robust backend services and APIs with strong performance and scalability
  • Integrate APIs using OpenAPI specifications
  • Work on AI/data-related components using Python where required
  • Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
  • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support
  • Ensure adherence to security, governance, and government compliance standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong full stack development experience with hands-on coding responsibilities
  • Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React and/or Vue.js
  • Backend: Golang and/or TypeScript (Node.js)
  • AI/Data: Python (for data processing or AI-related components)
  • API Development: Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Databases: PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Good understanding of system design, architecture principles, and scalable application development
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in government or public sector projects
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to security best practices in cloud and application development

Team & Work Environment

  • Work alongside Solution Architects who will drive high-level system design
  • Role is hands-on coding intensive with architectural awareness
  • Collaborative and structured team environment with clear workflows
