Job title: Senior Executive - Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Regulatory Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the safety and regulatory compliance of autonomous vehicle (AV) technologies deployed on public roads.
  2. Review and evaluate technical documentation, including system architecture, testing protocols, mechanical/electrical schematics, and compliance reports.
  3. Facilitate and support AV trials and testing, including pre-deployment assessments and on-ground validation exercises.
  4. Participate in investigations of incidents involving AVs to determine root cause and recommend corrective measures.
  5. Support the development and enforcement of regulatory standards, certification frameworks, and operational guidelines for AV systems.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders across the AV ecosystem, including AV developers, end-users, test centres, and other public/private sector partners.
  7. Monitor global developments in AV safety standards and adapt relevant practices to suit local context.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Systems Safety, or a related technical discipline.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in autonomous systems, vehicle engineering, or transport technology will have an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings, test reports, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Interest in transport innovation, smart mobility, and shaping emerging regulatory landscapes.
