Job Description

Hiring for an experienced Data Engineer /Database Administrator to join the team to drive database innovation, infrastructure design, and performance optimization:

• Offering salary up to $7,500 + AWS + VB
• Encouraging work life balance (5 days work week with wfh arrangement)

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure availability of production databases, including after-hours/weekend support when required. 
2. Monitor daily operations and ensure the stability, scalability, and security of database environments.
3. Lead database design and architecture, including schema development and assessment.
4. Optimize performance through SQL tuning, configuration, and proactive troubleshooting.
5. Maintain and manage databases hosted on AWS RDS, including patching, versioning, and backups.
6. Execute disaster recovery plans, including duplication, recovery, and restore requests.
7. Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database best practices are followed. 

Requirements:

• min. 3 years of working experience as a Database Administrator / Data Engineer 
• Proficiency in AWS RDS, with strong understanding of cloud database operations
• Strong command of PL/SQL development, with a focus on performance and scalability
• Skilled in database optimization, health monitoring, and alert resolution.
