Job Description

We are looking for an IT system engineer to join our team. You will be involved in designing, implementing and optimising the IT systems for our diverse range of clients.

  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm

Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Design & Implementation:

    • Collaborate with regional clients to understand their unique IT needs and design customized solutions.
    • Integrate system components to create functional, cohesive systems within project timelines.

  2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

    • Efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
    • Collaborate with vendors for hardware replacements and software patches.

  3. Continuous Improvement:

    • Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and patching for operational stability.
    • Identify areas for automation to streamline tasks and minimize errors.

  4. Client Collaboration:

    • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
    • Conduct milestone reviews to assess project progress and address any concerns.

  5. Security & Compliance:

    • Implement robust security measures to safeguard client and company data.
    • Conduct regular assessments and implement security patches promptly.

  6. User Training:

    • Develop and conduct user training sessions to ensure proficiency in IT systems usage.
    • Create and maintain training materials and documentation for ongoing support.

  7. Continuous Learning:

    • Stay updated on latest technologies and industry trends relevant to system support.
    • Engage in professional development to enhance troubleshooting skills.

  8. Remote Monitoring & Optimization:

    • Optimize system performance and recommend improvements.

  9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

    • Regularly update system documentation and contribute to knowledge base maintenance.
    • Document IT inventory, configuration changes, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role.
  • Familiarity with providing IT services to businesses in regional areas.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, VCP, ITIL Foundation) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer focus.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
