DevSecOps Engineer (Zero Trust Platform)

About the Role
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the development, operation and continuous enhancement of a secure Zero Trust platform that protects engineering endpoint devices and access to critical services. In this role, you will work across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to onboard systems onto the platform, automate security controls, improve operational efficiency, and ensure scalable, secure and reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the integration and onboarding of applications and services onto the platform.
- Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and automated solutions using Zero Trust principles.
- Develop and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, security controls and operational processes to support secure software delivery.
- Implement and administer identity and access management solutions, endpoint security platforms and secure access technologies.
- Configure and manage cloud security and networking services, including WAF, secure gateways and access control solutions.
- Develop monitoring, observability and automated recovery capabilities to improve platform reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve platform capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts to enhance platform security, automation and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Degree, diploma or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, SRE or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and automation using scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Shell or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation technologies and modern software delivery practices.
- Understanding of Zero Trust architecture, identity and access management concepts, and authentication protocols such as SAML.
- Exposure to endpoint security and device management technologies such as Microsoft Intune, CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Tanium or similar platforms would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability solutions such as ELK or equivalent technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
