Job title: Cloud System Engineer (Azure)

Job Description

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours

Salary package: $9500 (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement platform standards and drive automation to improve operational efficiency and system reliability
  • Manage security and compliance, including server patching, access controls, and continuous monitoring
  • Provide L1/L2 support, troubleshoot incidents, and work with teams on platform performance and scalability
  • Support containerisation and maintain hybrid cloud environments for different workloads
  • Contribute to platform improvements and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, high availability setups, and ensure proper documentation and runbooks

 

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Azure cloud platforms, hybrid architectures, and cloud-native technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Familiar with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
  • Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks
  • Understanding of virtualisation concepts (e.g. Nutanix)
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, security)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and industry best practices

 

Good to Have

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g. Azure), virtualisation, or infrastructure management
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of ITIL or service management practices
  • Experience in regulated environments
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance standards
