About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the development of a scalable AI platform that supports advanced data processing and multimodal applications (video, image, audio, and text).

 

In this role, you will work across both backend and frontend systems to build reliable APIs, integrate AI capabilities, and deliver performant user-facing applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions that are secure, maintainable, and scalable.

 

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

Backend and Data Integration

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems following best practices for content intelligence, including analysis, cataloguing, search, and efficient retrieval in production environments.
  • Develop and optimise APIs to integrate AI models and processing pipelines (e.g., computer vision and audio analysis) into the overall system architecture.
  • Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modelling, query optimisation, transaction handling, and schema evolution.

 

Fullstack Engineering Practices

  • Prototype, build, and integrate AI-driven systems, applying full stack engineering best practices with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability across frontend and backend components.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, design system architecture, implement solutions, and maintain clear technical documentation.

 

Frontend Development

  • Apply strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to develop user-facing applications.
  • Build responsive, performant, and maintainable interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, with attention to performance optimisation.
  • Work with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, including asynchronous data handling, error management, authentication, and state management.
  • Contribute to design systems, reusable component libraries, and frontend best practices.
  • Implement automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in full stack software development.

Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in backend (e.g., Node.js, Python frameworks) and frontend (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) technologies.

  • Foundational understanding of multimodal media processing is an advantage.

Experience designing and managing complex relational and/or non-relational database schemas.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of secure application development practices, including API security and handling sensitive data.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies with minimal supervision.

Experience in AI domains, particularly integrating machine learning models into production systems, is advantageous.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support prototyping and delivery is a plus.
