Job Title: Infrastructure & Network Support Engineer

Grade: RST 2-3

Number of Position: 1

The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) is seeking an infrastructure and network support engineer to support and maintain the organisations on-premises (mainly) or cloud servers, networking services, and virtualisation platforms, ensuring reliable infrastructure for all teams.

 

The key roles and responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage and support on-premises servers and virtual machines (VMs) using platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
  • Configure and enforce firewall rules and network policies for different groups and teams based on service request tickets.
  • Respond to requests related to network access, permission control, and virtualisation services.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, maintain accurate documentation, and administration works related to infrastructure and network support.

 

Job Requirements

Qualification & Field of Study

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in system engineering, network engineering or related field.

Min. Years of Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in system and network engineering.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome.

Other Requirements (e.g. Skills, Competencies)

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with server operating systems (Linux/Ubuntu, Windows Server) and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix).
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, network switching, routing, and firewall configuration.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and network policy management.
  • Ability to manage VLANs and network segmentation.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Accountable, willing to learn, and able to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Professional) are advantageous but not required.
